British Irish Trading Alliance

When starting a new trade or business, the most important thing to do is to market the services you provide.  This can be done in a number of ways.  The first of these could be producing business cards and flyers.  These would be given out to members of the public to help explain what you do so they can decide whether or not they need your service and whether or not they want to go with you or someone else.

They could also advertise in print e.g. in newspapers and magazines so people who read the product will have your services in mind if they ever need to use them.

People could advertise their services on TV or radio but this may be more expensive so would have to look for somewhere which is cheaper and they can get good exposure.

The world is now moving on to a more digital level so the next big place to advertise would be online but you have to find a company which can help you advertise in a prominent place at a good price.

There are many business networking events which happen round the country where business people can meet with other like-minded professionals.

The British Irish Trading Alliance launched a Liverpool group about 6 months ago, and are looking for new members and visitors to attend and join.   The group meets on the second Thursday of the month at Lanagans Bar in the City Centre 6-8pm and is an informal way to meet up with other business owners and form alliances.  The group are looking for both large and small businesses to join it.

The other BITA groups in London and Dublin both meet at the same time but in their respective venues.
